Data Breaches: How to Know If Your Accounts Were Compromised (Have I Been Pwned)

Have I Been Pwned (HIBP) tracks over 12 billion compromised accounts from 700+ public breaches. Check if your accounts are affected.

k-Anonymity: Only the first 5 characters of your SHA-1 hash are sent to the API. Your real password never leaves your device.

If compromised: 1. Change all reused passwords immediately. 2. Enable 2FA (TOTP app). 3. Use Bitwarden for unique strong passwords. 4. Monitor bank statements.

Check regularly at haveibeenpwned.com and enable breach alerts.
